That's a plenty!

Based on reliable musicological research, the origin of DAS RENNQUINTETT is dated back to the year 1986. The members of this sensational formation are as following:

Uwe Zaiser, lead-trumpeter in the "Südwestfunk Radio Orchestra" (SWF-RO). The born Swabian has suffered externally the most under the continuing psychological strain caused by the membership in the RENNQUINTETT. Loss of hair and body consumption were the first apparent symptoms, resulting from the battle lasting for years. He escaped into marriage as a last resort.

Peter Leiner, also trumpeter in the SWF-RO. Thanks to his juvenile age and his ascetic lifestyle, the visible markings of struggle pertaining to human and musical relationship are restricted to the obviously increased growth of grey hair. Despite his evidently tranquil nervous system, recent tendencies towards the establishment of a family are germinating.

Charles Tibbetts, French hornist in the SWF-RO with a very turbulent past history, is one of the possible reasons for the enhancement of mental and physical instability of the musicians mentioned above. His radiant character and his fitness indicate that he is completely unaware of these conditions. He's a converted fan of eastern life forms.

Jochen Scheerer, principal trombonist in the SWF-RO, has had the most significant influence on Charlie's education as a jazz-hornplayer. The psychological consequences were so serious, that the grey hair he got while nurturing Charles fell out immediately. In addition he also plays piano, bass, drums and computer.

Ralf Rudolph, tuba player at the "Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz" in Ludwigshafen. Also due to his Palatine roots, he is robust through and through. Linguistic communication problems outside of the Palatinate borders and a premature marriage protected him in time from the temptations of life. His dream profession: steam-locomotive driver.

Note: Charles Tibbetts was a member of DAS RENNQUINTETT from the very beginning; in 1992 he decided though, to give preference to his newly (and successfully!) acquired marital duties.
